You can use this idea for self-editing of writing tasks and for peer editing of writing tasks. The edited work can then be checked over by the teacher before any changes are made.
It is also great for those students who do not wish to have red pen all over their work, and I have come across quite a few students who do not like having teachers correct their work and this would work well for them as the 'red marks' are not on the page.
You will need thin whiteboard pens and plastic sleeves.
Place the work to be edited inside the plastic sleeve.
Use the pens correct the work on top of the plastic sleeve.
Then have the editing checked by the teacher.
The student can then make the changes on the paper by lifting the paper out of the sleeve.
