Here are the first four pictures from the comic one of my Year 5 students made:
However, as you are about to see, he has a fantastic imagination and great oral skills.
Here is his beginning of his narrative that he wrote today:
Early one morning, Fred Bound was asleep on the dry, abandoned desert floor.
Fred Bound was a hairy 33 year old man that had been in a coma for 19 years. When Fred was 14 years old he had been hit by a car that had stopped too late at a give-way sign. His parents had come to visit him in the hospital every day until the Zombie Invasion which had lasted two years. The people of the town had to evacuate immediately. Over time the buildings began to dry and crumble and the plants in the gardens began to die, leaving a dry, abandoned desert floor. Some of the zombies decided to move on and find food elsewhere and the rest were killed when an atom bomb was dropped on the town, leaving everything dead…except Fred Bound. He had managed to survive the zombies and the A-bomb because he had been trapped under a thick pile of lead painted rubble which had disintegrated over time, leaving Fred Bound asleep in his coma on the dry abandoned desert floor.
